Mind-Body Life Coaching is the specific style of coaching utilized by Dr. Clairborne. Similar to life coaching, it is a motivational process by which the coach and yourself form a professional alliance to help you bridge a gap between where you are and where you want to be. Dr. Clairborne, as your coach, helps to raise your awareness of certain blind spots that may be blocking your progress. Through a series of verbal and non-verbal processes and action steps, Dr. Clairborne then encourages and motivates you to face head on and take responsibility for your challenge. Mind-Body is the act of empowerment - expanding people's awareness and creating powerful breakthroughs, ultimately leveraging one's own abilities, gifts, and talents MUCH faster than he or she could do alone.

What to Expect During My Coaching Sessions

The first session is the assessment. Generally, there will be some type of questionnaire (in our case it is the Wellness Blueprint) which assesses your balance & well-being in several different areas of your life. It also assesses your satisfaction with where you are. This gives us a starting point for developing your goals and first set of action steps. During the first coaching session we establish those goals, ground rules, and timelines. It's important that these be set early in the process to foster a trusting and safe environment for both parties going forth.

During subsequent sessions, the client leads the session, looking to the coach to help them deepen in certain areas of "stuck-ness". This is a process where you set the goals, you make the decisions, you do the work, and in turn you get the results you desire. Dr. Clairborne, as your coach guides you. She stands up for what you say you want for your life and health.
